Connect with your church leader

Join a cohort
Once your church has started their partnership, you’ll receive an invitation to join our next training cohort.

Get trained
Complete 12 hours of online training over 3 weeks – with a 1.5 hour Live Online each week.

Start walking alongside others
Once you’ve completed training, you’ll be ready to start supporting people in your local community – with support from the Hope Economy team, every step of the way.

How was your training developed?
Hope Economy’s training was developed in consultation with financial hardship sector peak bodies and other relevant experts.
The material covered in the training aligns with industry best practice, ethical standards, and the Financial Literacy Skillset provided to Financial Capability Workers.
What is a Financial Capability Worker?
Financial Capability Worker (FCW) is a term used to describe people who provide general financial information and facilitate the development of money management skills.
FCWs can be found across many community organisations in Australia (in paid and voluntary capacities), and often go by different titles.
Hope Economy refers to the FCWs we train as ‘Money Mentors’.
Will I need a special licence to do this work?
No.
Financial Capability Workers cannot and do not provide financial or legal advice and do not require an Australian Credit License, or license exemptions to practise.
